Yo Who's On Top Of The Roof?

How's it going? This week was fun but hard. But that's expected, I guess.

Training has been a lot of fun and probably more learning for me than my companion, Elder Bunker. He's been improving, which is good because he's a stud. One of the most righteous elders I've ever met.

If I stay with Elder Bunker for two transfers, it's likely I'll stay in Madera for a quarter of my mission, which I'm fine with because it's great here. Plus, the members all know and love us.

We went to the Mexican flea market, and I got myself some Crocs. Pretty sure they're fake, but I don't really care.

We've had some great food this week from members and got lots of cantaloupe from this guy we met at the food bank. Undoubtedly the best cantaloupe I've ever had. Probably my favorite fruit? I don't know if it's a fruit or a vegetable. Doesn't matter—it's tasty.

We were in the Family History Center at the church, and we heard these faint thumping noises. I was like, "Elder Bunker, are you tapping your foot?" He was like, "Nah, it ain't me." It felt like that one scene in the first Jurassic Park when the T. rex attacks the cars. Unsure, we walked out of the room and went to check outside. There were like six delinquent kids on the roof. It looked fun, but I can't express that as a missionary. Someone has to be an adult, and this time it was me.

My mom tried to get me to help parent Sam before the mission, but I wasn't very good at it and often ended up making things worse. Anyways, I said, "Hey, y'all gotta get down from there." They started giving me lame excuses about why they needed to be up there. I said if they didn't get down, I was going to call someone. They got down quickly. Little did they know I wasn't calling the cops—something even worse... the bishop. It was kind of a funny scene and makes a good story.

Anyways, a long week, but it wasn't as hot this week. Hope y'all have a good one!
