Sigma Rock

Howdy my beloved and faithful family and friends! To be honest, this week felt so long and short at the same time. I'm thankful for Thanksgiving and all the good people and food. I had some Costco pumpkin spice cheesecake and it was SO good.

One thing that I enjoyed doing was focusing my prayers on things I'm grateful for. Some prayers I would just say things I'm purely thankful for. The Lord has blessed us with so much, so by showing we're grateful for the things He's already blessed us with, we're more humble and receptive to His will and blessings He yet has in store for us. I invite you to say a gratitude prayer this week.

It feels like the festive attitude is out! Now the whole debate on when the Christmas season ACTUALLY starts is over and hopefully everyone at this point can agree now. Let me know when y'all think it's appropriate to set the Christmas tree up! It's a different kind of missionary work at this time of year.

My companion kept getting mad at me because I kept telling him he looks like this rock that's carved into a face. Of course, he's way more handsome than a rock.

I honestly don't have too much to say this week. The work is kind of slow right now, but that's an excuse to work even harder.

I guess one thing I can say is that relationships are difficult with anyone. Spouses, parents, siblings, and friends. Having a companion in general is just hard, even if they are the best person in the world. It's hard having to compromise or always take into account their opinions and changing pace at different times. Especially as missionaries, we have to follow lots of standards and hold each other accountable. The beauty is the peace and growth that can come from this. Sometimes I get prideful and think I'm tough stuff and know the best ways to do things, but that's not the truth. I've learned it's more important to have the spirit than to be right. You cannot do anything spiritually influential without the companionship of the Holy Ghost. So I guess what I'm saying is repent, and repent quickly. Forgive, and forgive quickly. Obviously easier said than done, but I invite you to pray for the faith to do these things and I promise your faith WILL build upon the faith you already have, and you'll learn that nothing is impossible without the power that comes from Jesus Christ. I've seen it work miracles in my life. I know Jesus Christ and His Atonement is a legit and very real and tangible thing, not something we just worship but something real that we (you) have access to!

Anyways, I just want to say I sincerely love y'all, and your prayers are heard by HIM. And they're answered too.
